TECHNOSEUM

The TECHNOSEUM is one of the largest technology museums in Germany. The museum attracts around 160,000 visitors a year – mainly families and school classes. The permanent exhibition shows innovations in science and technology from the 18th century to the present day. Many of the machines on display are in working order and are demonstrated, from textile weaving from the Black Forest to steam engines. The Elementa exhibition areas invite visitors to join in, where they can send a pneumatic tube, construct bridges or ignite a hydrogen rocket. Digital offerings, from the free app to interactive animated films, complement the exhibition experience. The museum is a foundation under public law and is supported by the state of Baden-Württemberg and the city of Mannheim.
