The Mathematikum in Giessen is the first science center for mathematics. Visitors of all ages and backgrounds can experience mathematics in around 200 interactive experiments. Without formulas and symbols, the Mathematikum opens up a special approach to mathematics and the diverse experiments cover a wide range of mathematical topics. In a special area, the Mini-Mathematikum, even the youngest visitors can experience hands-on mathematics and gain their first experiences with numbers, shapes and patterns. The Mathematikum attracts over 100,000 visitors every year: For school classes, company outings and as the ideal place for a family outing, the hands-on museum, which is open every day, proves its attraction – and always offers something new thanks to its own exhibitions, which change every year.
