The Heinz Nixdorf MuseumsForum (HNF) in Paderborn showcases the past, present and future of information technology on 6,000 square meters of exhibition space – from the emergence of writing to the Internet age. According to the Guinness Book of Records, the HNF is the largest computer museum in the world. Trying out and touching are at the heart of the museum. Visitors can use telephone exchanges, try out new and historical computer games or talk to robots and avatars. Programming with waving cats or exploring the Smart World inspire visitors. An extensive range of events complements the permanent exhibition. Lecture series, discussions, congresses and educational museum activities address issues relating to the information society.
