German Museum of Technology Berlin Foundation

The Stiftung Deutsches Technikmuseum Berlin (SDTB) is one of the world’s leading institutions for the history of technology. Covering an area of over 100,000 square meters in the center of Berlin, directly on the Gleisdreieck, it offers an exciting journey of discovery through the cultural history of technology on 28,500 square meters of exhibition space. In the associated Science Center Spectrum, 150 science and technology experiments on 2,000 square meters invite visitors to join in. A varied educational and event program, the historical archive and an extensive library complete the offer.

With over 600,000 visitors a year, the SDTB is one of Berlin’s most popular museums and is equally attractive to Berliners and tourists.

The SDTB sees itself as a platform for the critical examination of technology, its history, present and future. At the same time, it is a place where technology can be experienced, tried out, understood and discussed together in a playful way.
