Bionicum at Nuremberg Zoo

Nature as a model for new technologies – this is what the interactive exhibition in the Bionicum shows. Hands-on stations invite visitors to explore nature’s fascinating inventions for themselves. Here you can find answers to questions such as how a spider spins its impressive web, what makes a shark so incredibly fast and what it looks like when robots dance. In the outdoor area of the zoo, the Bionic Tour continues the journey of discovery to the animals. The exhibition conveys scientific findings and current research results relating to biology and technology. To this end, the Bionicum supports and accompanies research projects and promotes interdisciplinary exchange between research, industry and educational institutions, both at regional and supra-regional level. The Bionicum is a museum of the Bavarian State Natural Science Collections (SNSB).
